Peer pressure is the influence you feel from a person or group of people to do something you might not otherwise consider doing. Your peers are people around the same age as you such as friends, family, or even TV stars that you look up too. It can have a both positive or negative affect on you as well.
I believe positive peer pressure can affect teens in school in many ways. I can help teens gain confidence in themselves, it can make them work harder in class to get better grades, or even make them change entirely. It can also affect you Directly, Indirectly, and Individually.
Teens can adopt good habits when hanging with the right groups, like studying or eating right. You peers can have an effect on the clothes you wear and the actions you take such as the “NEW” fashion that’re going around or you friends wear this color all the time so I will too to fit in. Peers can make you do things that you don’t want to like smoke or even stay out past curfew.
Like me myself I hangout with people older than me and I do things I'm not suppose to do like stay out late. They influence me to wear different clothes and shoes, also talk differently.
I think teachers can have an effect on students as well. If they encourage students to work hard and get their work done, I believe students will really work because they have someone that stays on top of them to get their work done.
Like if a teacher sees someone that doesn’t want to work they encourage them to do their work and give special attention to them to help them out and stay on top of them. Sometimes they can give them treats like candy or something if they do good or finish their work just to give them an extra boost to work harder.
So yes I do believe that positive peer pressure can affect they way students act in school.

- Directly- Is as simple as telling someone or someone telling you what to do.
- Indirectly- When you influence someone without knowing, like a activity or habits you do can have an affect on what they do with others.
- Individually- This is like changing schools and feel like you need to change to fit in
